WIBA IT joined the Bovib

WIBA IT is admitted as a member of the Branch organization for intermediaries and brokers (Bovib). Te joined other companies that have earned their spurs in the flex industry. Together we can form a stronger front in the direction of our own model agreement within the Dreducing Assessment of Labour Relations Act (DBA). In addition, Bovib is working on a quality trademark for bona fide and transparent intermediaries, which we also like to contribute to as WIBA IT.

Bovib is a branch organization for companies that have made their mark in the flex sector. They are bona fide and transparent companies that are financially reliable. Together with the other members, WIBA IT joins forces to define a quality standard for the sector and develop an independent complaint procedure.

Bovib represents an economic interest of over €2 billion in the Netherlands. Together, its members provide employment to tens of thousands of people. They are all independent intermediaries that try to match supply and demand for flex workers, like freelancers and other independent professionals.

As a member of Bovib, we are currently talking to the IRS and the Ministry of Finance to create a model agreement for the sector within the new legislation. The current model agreements insufficiently match our approach and objectives. By discussing various interests and possibilities, we attempt to find a solution together. Eventually, the aim is to design a model agreement that suits WIBA IT and all other intermediaries. A large portion of the labour market in the Netherlands nowadays involves intermediaries, so both the IRS and the Ministry should realize how important it is to come to a solution as quickly as possible.

In addition, Bovib is working on a trademark for intermediaries. The number of intermediaries in the Netherlands is large and it is still growing. A trademark allows us to show that everything is in order and that we value quality. That means that is clear in advance which intermediaries can mediate between supply and demand involving flex workers. This prevents undesirable fiscal or financial consequences and creates a flexible and effective working relationship between the various parties.
